Genetic data are increasingly important to medical research. However, challenges exist with the aggregation, processing, and archiving of such data, and the need to keep them available for queries, comparisons, and further analyses on an ongoing basis.
Researchers use SmartGene’s configurable IDNS® Service Modules to derive new insights from their annotated sequence databases and to enhance their expertise with each case added. Specifically adapted data management and mining tools render complex searches and detailed analyses easy and efficient. Specific knowledge in bio-informatics or computer programming is not required, so researchers can focus on the interpretation of the data. It is SmartGene’s role to keep the reference databases, interpretive algorithms, and bioinformatics up to date and in step with the evolving science.
